Agriturismo Riva Mondina
Are you looking for a place immersed in nature and far from the hustle and bustle of the city? Riva Mondina is the agriturismo for you! Located on the edge of the Grado lagoon on the Tiel river, in a strategic position between the ancient city of Aquileia and the beaches of Grado, it offers its guests the opportunity to explore the area with the bicycles available, riding along the cycle paths overlooking it. The agriturismo was obtained from the renovation of a guard house of the adjacent pumping station, built in the 1930s to reclaim the surrounding land. The result is an charming structure, restored with great attention to detail and maintaining its original charm.
Guests can relax by observing the resident and migratory wildlife of the nearby protected areas (Averto, Val Cavanata, Isola della Cona), go fishing, visit the organic farm and horse breeding or simply sunbathe and read a book in the agriturismo garden. More dynamic travelers can instead follow the enogastronomic itineraries "by land and sea", cultural events and exhibitions in the various centers of the region, or spend days relaxing on the beach, cycling or boating.
The structure consists of four bright rooms on the first floor, equipped with private bathroom, free wifi, air conditioning, hairdryer and courtesy set. Riva Mondina offers its guests an internal parking, a large garden with sun loungers and a terrace with tables and chairs under the shade of the gazebo. Please note that smoking is not allowed inside the structure.

"Nontiscordardime" is a very bright room located on the first floor and facing south, characterized by soft blue tones that blend in with the sky and the aquatic landscape it overlooks with its two windows. The furnishings consist of a queen-size bed, a wardrobe, and two bedside tables, a practical table at the entrance, and a chair. The room is equipped with heating, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and mosquito nets on both windows. The private bathroom has a comfortable shower with a box, a hairdryer, a courtesy set, and automatic ventilation.
The Capelvenere double room is our west-facing room, characterized by a fresh green color and two windows with mosquito nets overlooking the Tiel-Mondina canal and its fascinating still-functioning pumping station complex. It is furnished with an interesting mix of Italian design and tradition. Here too we find the warm and massaging brushed larch wood floor. The bathroom has a shower box, hairdryer, courtesy set, automatic lighting and ventilation. Capelvenere, like all the other rooms at Riva Mondina, is equipped with heating, air conditioning with remote control and Wi-Fi available to guests.
The Ginestra double room is facing east towards the inland of the Friulian countryside, with a view of the delightful corner of maritime pine trees that welcomes our guests upon arrival. Ginestra has also been furnished with carpentry furniture and a wrought iron bed. The en-suite bathroom is equipped with a comfortable shower cubicle, hairdryer, toiletry set, automatic lighting, and ventilation. Ginestra is equipped with heating, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi.
The Brunella room, with antique pink tones, is oriented to the east with two windows equipped with mosquito nets, a very comfortable double bed and refined furniture with traditional carpentry elements. The brushed larch flooring makes the atmosphere warm and welcoming and is a natural choice that reflects the original characteristics of the house. The modern style bathroom is equipped with a large shower, hairdryer, courtesy set, automatic lighting and ventilation. Brunella, like all the other rooms in Riva Mondina, is equipped with heating, air conditioning with remote control and Wi-Fi available to guests.
Giuliano and I have been fortunate enough to live and work in these historically rich lands for over 25 years. We have found the perfect place to cultivate our passion for horses, the sea, and organic farming. While taking a pleasant walk around our farm, we noticed an old building for sale adjacent to the Tiel-Mondina river and immediately thought it was the right opportunity to realize our dream of rural hospitality.
We have spent a very demanding period of time on renovation work, but we enjoyed expressing our personalities while respecting the history and style of the house. We are very proud of the result, which represents us completely.
In addition to offering our guests a comfortable stay, we would also like to share our passions with them and accompany them in discovering the wonderful territory that surrounds us. We are certain that they will appreciate the beauty of our horses, the magnificence of the sea, and the goodness of local organic products.
We find ourselves in a territory with different souls: a countryside overlooking the Venetian lagoon, with an excellent ventilated climate. Located on one of the various cycle paths of Grado, we are an excellent base for getting to know the entire region, 6 km from Aquileia, 7 km from Grado, 20 km from Palmanova, 25 km from Gorizia and 30 km from Trieste. There are several natural areas and opportunities for excursions in the lagoon, visits to historical and artistic themes around us. *Distances as the crow flies.
